CHEM 466B Physical Chemistry Laboratory Manual Fall 2006 A. Safety Procedures
The SIUC Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has prepared a booklet
entitled: “Laboratory Directions for Chemistry Students.” This booklet includes an
important section on laboratory safety and should be obtained from Dan Parker in
Room 225. Naturally, the general procedures in that document apply to this
course—as do the more-specific safety procedures listed below.
Additional Safety Rules for Chem-466b
1. Follow all directions given by the TAs (and by extension, the Professor).
2. Do not enter the laboratory or begin experiments until at least one TA has
arrived at the lab.
3. Do not block aisles or fire exits
